Laboratory Testing Standards: Why Extraction Methods Matter

Electrical Conductivity (EC) readings are highly sensitive to the laboratory extraction method used. Because water dilution alters the measured salt concentration, identical coir material will yield different numerical readings across testing standards:

1:1.5 Volume Method
